Frank Stubbs served in the Navy in the Pacific theatre. Frank was awarded Asiatic-Pacific campaign ribbon, American theatre of war campaign ribbon, three battle stars and Good Conduct ribbon. The Commanding officer inserted in his Service Record a commendation for having exhibited exceptional devotion to duty, outstanding leadership qualities, contribution to the success of the unit above and beyond that expected having given many hours over and above those required.
